OWL TALON Sprinter 3500 Super Single wheels **Mid Feb 2025

If you're looking to drastically increase the stability and trail performance of your 3500 or Ekko, super singles are the perfect upgrade. Dual rear wheels substantially limit offroad performance due to limited tire size and their affinity for trapping rocks (causing sidewall puncture). Additionally, the only way to really get ground clearance for offroading is to increase the size of the tires. You can finally move up to a 35" tire with a super single wheel. 

Larger Tires - Duallies limit the size tire you can run because they come into contact with each other. By moving to a Super Single you are able to massively increase your tire size all the way up to 35". Larger tires not only mean more ground clearance on the trail but also a softer, more supple ride. The wider side wall of the tire works as a shock absorber to dampen rough terrain.

Load Capacity - With the massive weight of modern Sprinter dually builds we felt it was time to build a wheel that was both lightweight but also drastically increased the load-carrying capacity of the wheel. In basic terms, we wanted something stronger that could take the abuse of a 11,000lbs Ekko pounding the dirt offroad and on. Here are some specs:

Offset - The offset of a wheel, in basic terms, is how much it sticks out the side of the van. By having a wheel with a lower offset, you widen the track of your van, making it more stable and less prone to tipping. This is a massive advantage when offroading in a tall vehicle like a Sprinter Van. We designed our Talon SS wheel specifically for the Ekko's wider body. Therefore, our wheel not only fills the wheel well but increases off-road performance.

Unique Spare Wheel - With Super Single wheelsets, it can be a little more complicated to carry a spare. That is because the front wheels and the rear wheels are now different. Due to this change, Owl has specifically designed a space wheel to be used on either the front or the back. This allows you to carry a single full-sized spare to get you off the trail. This is why the spare has two offset figures. 58.5mm when it is mounted on the front and -97mm when mounted on the rear. 

Dual Valve Stem System - We know how critical lowering air pressure is for traction off-road. We also show what a pain and how time-consuming lowering tire pressure can be. That's why we decided to innovate on the Owl Talon and include a second valve stem location. This second valve stem allows you to run the factory TPMS (tire pressure monitors) as well as run an Apex quick air dump system. This dual-valve stem system allows for the best of both worlds. 

*Apex valves are not required. If you don't order the Apex valves with the wheels you can simply install a second standard valve stem.   Cost is $50 per valve if ordered with rims.
